Eight Health Facilities for Southeast Liberia
Supply, installation and maintenance of medical equipment for eight health facilities in Southeast Liberia — a $0.37 million Welthungerhilfe programme funded by KfW, delivered by YessPharma GmbH in 2025.
Southeast Liberia is about as far from a medical equipment showroom as a place can be. Roads are long, the rainy season is longer, and the eight health facilities in this programme serve communities that cannot simply go elsewhere.
Welthungerhilfe, with funding from the German development bank KfW, engaged YessPharma GmbH for the supply, installation and maintenance of medical equipment for eight health facilities across Southeast Liberia — a $0.37 million programme implemented in 2025.
The word that matters most in that contract is "maintenance". Plenty of equipment has been delivered to remote clinics over the years and quietly died there for lack of support. Our commitment covers the whole lifecycle: delivery over difficult roads, installation, staff training, and keeping the equipment running afterwards.
The photographs show what that looks like in practice — infant warmers unpacked in Tarjuowon District, a newly equipped emergency department opening with its whole staff outside, and a health centre sign that proudly credits the partnership that built it. This is healthcare arriving where it is hardest to deliver — our speciality.
