Medical Devices for Central Asia
For GIZ, YessPharma GmbH supplied €0.2 million of medical devices to healthcare facilities in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in 2025.
Central Asia's healthcare systems are modernising fast, and Germany's development cooperation is part of that story. In 2025, GIZ engaged YessPharma GmbH to supply medical devices to healthcare facilities in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan — a €0.2 million programme spanning two countries.
Two borders, two customs regimes, two sets of clinical requirements — handled by one team with the local partners to match. Our multilingual staff and established relationships in the region meant equipment moved from European manufacturers to Central Asian clinics without friction.
Not every project is measured in millions. Some are measured in whether a trusted partner delivers exactly what was specified, on time, in places procurement rarely reaches easily. This was one of those — and it is why GIZ came back to us for the Syria programme the following year.
