Supporting Burn Centers Across Egypt — On-Site Training in Cairo

Our team had the privilege of supporting the Burn Center team at Imbaba Hospital in Cairo with a training and information session on Humeca dermatomes and meshers for the hospital's plastic surgeons and OR staff.

Together we covered the safe setup and operation of the Humeca D-series dermatomes for split-thickness skin graft harvesting, practical tips on intra-operative handling, and the cleaning and reprocessing routines that keep these precision instruments reliable and long-lasting.

We met an extremely motivated team who welcomed us with great hospitality. A big thank-you to the Head of Department, Dr. Doaa Magdy, her colleagues Dr. Mai Helmy and Dr. Mohamed Badr, and the director of the hospital, Mr. Ahmed Mekkawy.

Imbaba Hospital is one of 25 hospitals across Egypt receiving these high-quality, much-needed devices for their burn centers — and for us, every delivery ends the same way: not with a signature on a delivery note, but with a clinical team confident in the equipment in their hands.
